Shame on me: Google is not a mask

At first I thought google search engine was adopted from a mask or something to cover face. But, shame on me, it was not a mask.

The google term was adopted from mathematical term “googol” which is a 1 followed by 100 zeros (ie 1 x 10E100).

I found it on the google fact sheet:

“Googol” is the mathematical term for a 1 followed by 100 zeros. The term was coined by Milton Sirotta, nephew of American mathematician Edward Kasner, and was popularized in the book, “Mathematics and the Imagination” by Kasner and James Newman. Google’s play on the term reflects the company’s mission to organize the immense amount of information available on the web.

Shame on me :)

But, surfers on China prononcing “Google” as “gougou”, that means “doggy” or “gugou” means “old hound”, woow .. that’s very much deviation :)
