Upload and Download file(s) via FTP
FTP is a protocol used to upload and download files from internet. You might have downloaded a lot files using the www protocol address, but instead of using it an ftp protocol also can be used for downloading files if this feature enabled by webmaster in charge.
Using File Transfer Protocol (or simply FTP) to upload files, however provides a more convenient way that upload files using a non FTP feature (as some control panel provides this feature). With FTP, you can upload a single file, some sort of files, a directory or some sort of directories easily. Just click the file/directory you’d like to upload and click upload (or click the appropriate arrow button) and your file(s)/directory(ies) is/are on the way to go.
You only need the ftp address (like ftp://ftp.yourdomain.com/) a user and a password to connect to your ftp server. It’s a more convenient way to upload and download files from the net, if you know how to do it!
